A Prosperous Future: MIA Vision 2030

Why Make in Africa Matters Now

A Continent That Makes

Africa Should Add the Value

Africa has the resources, the young people and now a single continental market under the AfCFTA. Yet it mostly ships raw materials out and buys finished goods in. By 2030 we want Africa to process more of what it grows and mines, so the jobs and value stay here.

Our Vision for 2030

What Africa Must Do

Africa owes itself discipline. That means better governance, freer trade between African countries, honest standards and delivery. Special economic zones and regional value chains must produce real goods, and Make in Africa will keep score.

What Partners Should Do

Giving Back and Helping Build

The EU, the G7 and every major economy that trades with Africa have capital, technology and markets. History matters here: unequal trade rules helped build wealth elsewhere. We ask for fair long-term finance, debt relief, technology sharing and market access for processed goods.

Making It Together

Skills for the Next Generation

Young Africans are the continent’s greatest asset. By 2030 they should find training, apprenticeships and enterprise support that lead to real jobs in industry, with a genuine voice in how the movement is led.

Keeping Score

Trust Built Through Delivery

Promises are not enough. Make in Africa will track what governments, partners and members commit to, publish who delivers, and say plainly where progress has fallen short. Accountability runs in every direction.

Our Platform for Partnership

The Summit and the Movement

The Make in Africa Global Summit meets in Sandton, Johannesburg, in January 2027, and the movement works year-round. Together they bring governments, investors and makers to the same table to agree fair terms and act on them.

Join the Movement

A Shared Direction Towards 2030

We invite governments, investors, companies and citizens to join a partnership built on fair terms. Africa is ready to build, and ready to work with those who will put value back and help it grow.

Join a movement built on the belief that Africa should make more of what it uses and sells, in Africa.
