A Movement to Make More at Home
Make in Africa is a pan-African movement. Africa has the resources, the young people and now a single continental market, yet it mostly ships raw materials out and buys finished goods in. We exist to change that, working year-round and gathering each year at the Make in Africa Global Summit.

An Africa That Makes We envision a continent that processes its own minerals, crops and energy, trades finished goods across the African Continental Free Trade Area, and sells to the world on fair terms. Jobs, technology and value stay in Africa, and the benefits reach ordinary people, not only the largest companies.
Value Is Made Elsewhere Africa is about 2% of global manufacturing output. Colonial-era extraction and unequal trade rules helped build industrial wealth elsewhere, and today's tariffs, standards and credit terms still keep processing offshore. We say this plainly. We then ask the rich economies to give back and help build, and we ask Africa to hold itself to account.
Partnership, Discipline and Delivery Our approach rests on three principles:

The Make In Africa Global Summit (MIAGS) is a global platform connecting leaders, businesses, investors, institutions and policymakers shaping the next era of economic growth across the Global South and Africa.
MIAGS advances South–South cooperation, trade, investment, industrialization, technology, infrastructure and economic resilience, creating platforms for dialogue, strategic partnerships and cross-border opportunities.
Our mission is to strengthen the Global South and Africa’s role in the global economy by connecting capital with opportunity, innovation with markets and economic priorities with action—while fostering a more connected, productive and influential economic future.
