Our Patrons, Our Strength

Patrons Who Back Making in Africa

Make in Africa is a movement to build more of what Africa uses and sells, in Africa. Our patrons are people and institutions who lend their standing to that goal. Patronage is by invitation, and it is given to those who are ready to help turn Africa’s resources, young people and new continental market into finished goods, skills and jobs at home.

Their support strengthens our case to governments, investors and partner economies that fair terms, long-term finance and technology sharing are what Africa needs to build.

A Message to Our Patrons

Sharing a Commitment to Fair Terms

Africa ships out too many raw materials and buys in too many finished goods. Your patronage helps us say so plainly, and propose what to do about it. It lets us press for fairly priced finance, market access for processed goods and honest delivery on all sides, and it lends weight to the work of our members and committees.

Your Role in Making in Africa

Lending Weight to the Case

Patronage is not only an honour. It is an active partnership. As a patron you help guide our priorities, open doors to governments and investors, and speak for fair partnership: technology sharing, local processing and an end to illicit financial outflows. Your counsel helps keep our proposals practical, honest and measurable.

With your support we can build a continent that makes more of its own wealth, and a set of partnerships that put value back where it was taken from.

Carrying the Movement Further

Signalling Confidence in Africa

Your involvement tells investors, governments and partner economies that Africa is serious about building. It adds weight to our call for fair terms of trade and long-term capital, and it strengthens the trust that our members, partners and communities place in the movement and in the Make in Africa Global Summit.

A Call to Keep Building

Building a Future Together

Your continued partnership is vital. With your influence we can push for the African Continental Free Trade Area to deliver real production, help African governments keep their side of the bargain, and ask the EU, the G7 and every major trading partner to do their part. We will keep score and publish who delivers.

We invite you to stay closely involved as we prepare the inaugural Summit in Johannesburg in January 2027.

Our Thanks

Thank You for Backing Africa's Makers

We thank our patrons for their steady support and their belief in what Africa can build. Patronage is more than endorsement. It is a catalyst for the work of our members. Together we are building an Africa that processes, manufactures and sells its own value, and we are grateful for your partnership.

Be Part of the Movement

Inspired by your leadership, Make in Africa is working for a continent that builds its own future on fair terms. We invite you to keep supporting our efforts, find new ways to take part, and help us hold every partner to account.
