EdTech Framework 2027-2035

Building Skills for Africa's Manufacturing, Technology and FinTech Future

Transforming Education through Technology

This EdTech Framework 2027-2035 proposes using educational technology to widen learning, build workforce skills and prepare Africa for work in technology, electronics, manufacturing and fintech. By supporting innovative learning, promoting digital literacy and introducing industry-specific training, Make in Africa aims to help governments and partners build a digitally skilled, industry-ready workforce. It is a proposal, not law.

Africa has a very young and growing population, and training must match what industry needs. The Framework focuses on areas such as infrastructure, electronics production, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals and business process outsourcing (BPO), and draws on workforce models that have worked elsewhere.

Our education and skills expert committee brings members together to draft position papers and build partnerships, so Africa grows its own manufacturing and fintech talent.
