Africa has the resources, the young people and, through the AfCFTA, a single continental market. Yet it mostly ships raw materials out and buys finished goods in. The value, the jobs and the technology are made elsewhere. Make in Africa exists to change that.
Colonial-era extraction and unequal trade rules helped build industrial wealth elsewhere, and today’s system still prices risk, credit, standards and tariffs in ways that keep processing offshore. We say so plainly, and we ask partners to help repair the terms.
AI, robotics and digital infrastructure are reshaping economies faster than any one country can respond alone. Our councils pool capability across Africa, and we ask partners for technology and licence sharing, so the continent builds rather than only buys.

Africa’s young people are its greatest industrial asset. Our youth and entrepreneurship work gives them a real channel into the movement’s decisions, because leadership should be open to more than just the largest or oldest voices.
Africa also owes itself discipline: good governance, intra-African trade, honest standards and delivery. Our Advocacy Committee exists to hold everyone to that, partners and African governments alike. We will keep score and publish who delivers.

We ask the EU, the G7 and every major economy that trades with Africa to give back and help build: fairly priced long-term finance, debt relief that frees money for investment, technology sharing, and market access for processed goods.
We invite governments, investors and companies to join a partnership on fair terms. Making more in Africa is not a slogan. It is the surest route to jobs, resilience and shared prosperity.
The Make In Africa Global Summit (MIAGS) is a global platform connecting leaders, businesses, investors, institutions and policymakers shaping the next era of economic growth across the Global South and Africa.
MIAGS advances South–South cooperation, trade, investment, industrialization, technology, infrastructure and economic resilience, creating platforms for dialogue, strategic partnerships and cross-border opportunities.
Our mission is to strengthen the Global South and Africa’s role in the global economy by connecting capital with opportunity, innovation with markets and economic priorities with action—while fostering a more connected, productive and influential economic future.
